We went through AAA and Luann our travel agent was awesome, it was good having someone who had been there before to guide since we had never been there before. After mentioning it to our friends they asked if they could join us since it would be their anniversary as well. We said of course since really anyone could have gone on the trip, the more the merrier. We ended up getting such an awesome deal so we decided to get a condo and share it with the Burton's. I was so excited I couldn't stand it. Then after hanging out with Cris and Laurent we were talking to them about our plans and that we were going to Hawaii. Laurent birthday was in that month and he said jokingly maybe we should go to and celebrate. I said ummm yah do it, so we called Luann and asked if we could add another couple of course it was possible although they did have to get their own room .but still got a great deal. And the rest is history as far as the people going. We were excited to go somewhere tropical and to spend it with close friends couldn't ask for more.
Jovie and Josiah were of course going to stay with my parents for the week. I know it was quite a struggle for them seeing that Josiah was back at school and couldn't miss a whole week. One of my friends was nice enough to pick Josiah up from school for me and my mom picked him up everyday. Don't think this trip would have worked w/o her ....she is truly an angel. After talking about it for so long and with family and friends the day had finally come.
We of course rode in style , Jodi booked us a Limo from a friend and off we went.

Plane ride was smooth , im pretty sure we napped the whole way there or at least we did. Finally arrived around noonish , still had the whole day ahead of us. We stopped off at Costco to buy groceries for the week since we did stay in a condo. That was in adventure in itself because it seemed everyone else was there also. We all piled in the Mini Van with groceries and off to our hotel we went. The weather was gorgeous it seemed unreal that after so many years of wanting to go to Hawaii we were finally there. Got to our hotel The Kaanapali Alii it was beautiful, we settled in checked out of rooms and off we went to explore the area around us. Heaven is all I can say.
We had lots of activities planned:
Snorkeling
Haleakala Sunset then bike riding down
Road to Hana Drive
Beach day ...enjoying our hotel on the beach
It was truly 7 days of fun, laughter, relaxation and some more fun. LOL
We had a beautiful balcony with a view; we usually ate breakfast there and just starred at the view.
The trip couldn't have gone any better and the company was even better. A trip alone would of course have been nice I can always spend time with my hubby , but a trip with friends makes for adventures and fun. I don't believe I have laughed that hard in ages, everyone was so chill. It was nice to hang out with people that know us so well.
I cant wait to go on another vacation....it was a great expericence.
